The PlayStation 4 was named the number one Trending Tech Gadget in Google’s Zeitgeist list. Alongside this honor, the PlayStation 4 was the only game console to make the top ten, and was one of the top searched items on Google for 2013.
A press release from Sony following the announcement, reads:
“We couldn’t be happier to see that PS4 was top of mind for so many millions of people this year, beginning with our announcement in February and hitting a fever pitch recently with launches around the world,” said Sony’s Guy Longworth.
Sony’s PlayStation 4 remains in high demand leading into Christmas, with many retailers struggling to keep the console in stock.
