Quantum Break to use lessons learned in Alan Wake, Max Payne

This weekend, a new gameplay trailer for Quantum Break was released by Remedy Entertainment.  Sam Lake, Creative Director for the Xbox One exclusive, revealed the first details we’ve heard about the game since its announcement earlier this year.

Lake describes Quantum Break as an action game.  An action game that relies on time mechanics, which weren’t revealed just yet. But more importantly, it’s going to be cut from the same cloth as Remedy’s previous games like Max Payne and Alan Wake.  Remedy will use “intense cinematic gunplay, and dynamic cover mechanics” for Quantum Break.

There’s still no word on when to expect Quantum Break for the Xbox One, but it is definitely one exclusive game on the console to look forward to.   Let’s just hope it doesn’t see as much delay as Alan Wake saw last generation.   You can check out the brief gameplay “crash course”, below.
