Square Enix is giving a group of very lucky Final Fantasy fans the chance to try the new entry in the Dissidia series, releasing early 2018 for PS4. The company is preparing a closed beta for Dissidia: Final Fantasy NT, which will be taking place this summer, with more details to be announced at a later date. Registration is open for fans in North America and Europe, who only need to sign up with their PlayStation Network username.
Dissidia: Final Fantasy NT is a crossover fighting game in which heroes and villains from all fifteen main entries of the RPG series fight each other. This new title for PS4 represents a huge graphic leap over the two previous games released on PSP, and it also introduces some tweaks to the battle mechanics, offering battles between teams of three characters each, instead of the previous 1v1 encounters.
While an arcade version has been available for over a year in Japan, the PS4 release was only unveiled in June, when the developers confirmed that all the arcade content would be present at the console release, although subsequent new characters and stages would appear before in the arcade machines. Square Enix promised to announced new content additions from now to the PS4 release, the first one of them being the Lunar Subterrane stage from Final Fantasy IV.
Register now for the closed beta of Dissidia: Final Fantasy NT through the North American and European links. Good luck!
