Steam users can now download The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim update 1.9, which features Legendary features for challenge and progression. The update includes the Legendary difficulty setting, and the option to make skills that are at level 100 into Legendary Skills, resetting them to 15 for leveling again. This move is said to “effectively remove the overall level cap”.
There’s a ton of bug fixes in the update as well. You can find the full list over on Bethblog. For Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 Skyrim players, Bethesda says that they are shooting for a release of the Legendary update later this month.
They don’t have an announcement for a specific date at the time of print, but advise that they will keep fans updated as to the timeline for its release. Hopefully, BGS won’t run into any problems with the update on the PlayStation 3 like they had with the DLC.
Skyrim players on the PlayStation 3 just recently got their first taste of downloadable content with the release of the Dragonborn, Hearthfire, and Dawnguard expansions. This came after a lengthy delay which Bethesda attributed to quality concerns.
