The E3 2015 trailer for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain has just landed. The end of the trailer hints some familiar names return.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is set in the year 1984. This game is years before the events that took place in the every Metal Gear game apart from Snake Eater.

In the new Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain trailer, we see young blonde kids. At the end of the trailer, a character says “Les Enfants Terribles”. This is French for “The Terrible Children”.

Les Enfants Terribles was a program that cloned Big Boss’ genes to create super soldiers. This is how Solid and Liquid Snake were born. We may see the two characters as kids.

It was only previously mentioned in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain that the blonde kid in the game is called “Eli”. This is probably a name given to him to hide his real identity.

Knowing Hideo Kojima, we won’t know more about the two blonde kids until Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain truly comes out. Signs point that both Solid and Liquid Snake are in the game.

If they are in the game, it’s unlikely David Hayter can voice Solid Snake. Kids don’t have very deep gruff voices…
