The year of 2017 has finally dawned as people celebrate the new year across the globe.  Even developers at Square Enix are excited.  On New Year’s Eve, Director Hajime Tabata and Final Fantasy 15 creators wished everyone a happy new year on their official twitter page.  A photo of the main cast was presented each holding a letter spelling out their message. Starting from Ignis (left) looking rather stern as usual, Prompto grinning, Noctis with an outstretched arm and Luna in the middle posing like a modest princess, with siblings Iris and Gladiolus at the end, smiling brightly against the backdrop of Eos. To top it all, the game’s mascot, a yellow Chocobo joined in on the fun.
Another team chimed in as well cheering on the new year.  Makers of Kingdom Hearts gave a shoutout on their twitter page, teasing fans with a screenshot from the acclaimed series with Mickey Mouse and Aqua together.  Long-time fans have been going wild ever since news spread about Kingdom Hearts 3.  Rest assured Director Tetsuya Nomura is currently working hard behind the scenes to breathe life into the game.  Meanwhile, a release date has been confirmed for Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue ready to launch towards the end of this month.
Originally released on the PS2 in 2002 with multiple spin-offs, Kingdom Hearts is a featured collaboration with two entertainment giants, Square Enix and Disney Interative Studios bringing forth familiar characters like Mickey, Goofy and Donald over to the fantasy world.  Players take on the role of Sora exploring a vast universe filled with wonder.  Fans may have to wait a bit longer for an actual release date.  However, the series will be celebrating its 15th anniversary this year, holding its first ever Kingdom Hearts Orchestra World Tour concert which Nomura mentioned making an appearance in a holiday message (watch below).  Here’s hoping for some insight, fingers crossed!
