Some Origin users are reporting that they have received invites to the Star Wars Battlefront Closed Alpha. Unfortunately there doesn’t seem to be a way to get into the Alpha by yourself, instead EA has been selecting individuals and supplying them with the link to the registration page. If you have an Origin account you’ll want to check your email now, or give it a shot on the registration site.
Going to the site will prompt you to login to your EA Origin account. If you were selected you will be notified that you have been entered and that EA will be deciding who has actually gotten in later on. If you were not in this first round of invites you won’t even be able to enter into consideration.
This seems like a very closed system, meaning EA is actually trying to do some real testing with Star Wars Battlefront, instead of just pushing out a glorified demo. Only people selected are able to register, which doesn’t even guarantee that you will be in the final closed Alpha program.
This Alpha is available on PC only, with the possibility of PS4 or Xbox One tests running closer to launch. Star Wars Battlefront is a very online heavy game, so the more testing that DICE does, the better.
Star Wars Battlefront launches for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on November 17th.
