Earlier today Blizzard Entertainment officially announced the long awaited finale piece of the StarCraft II puzzle in Legacy Of The Void. The game looks to also have a few new modes that will bring fans together.
Those who are at Blizzcon 2014 right now get to experience a lot of things first and with their own eyes. Blizzard has revealed two new co-op modes in Legacy Of The Void. The new mode titled, Archon Mode will allow players to cooperatively control a single base against the enemy.
Full description is as follows: “Two heads are better than one – you and an ally share control over a singular base to battle against the enemy in multiplayer action. Learn StarCraft tactic basics from a seasoned veteran or amplify the power of a burgeoning all-star. Embody the spirit of Archon and merge together to become a greater, unified force.”
Another mode announced today is Allied Commanders. The mode will be an open-ended experience for players to choose their favorite commander from any of the races and fight in diverse scenarios that will have dynamic campaign-like objectives.
Full description for Allied Commanders is as follows: “Join the battle with a friend in an open-ended cooperative experience. Choose a powerful commander from your favorite race and fight in diverse scenarios with dynamic, campaign-style objectives. Level up your commander to gain access to new units, abilities, and customization options for your army. The time is now. The theater of war awaits, commander.”
It definitely sounds pretty awesome. It will be a great way for new players to join friends and as it says ‘learn StarCraft tactic basics’. No word on when Legacy Of The Void will be released in 2015 but you can opt in for the beta right now. Which co-op mode are you most excited for?
