Blizzard has yet to pin a date on the final expansion for StarCraft II, but that date is fast approaching.   The world premiere of the Legacy of the Void cinematic and the launch date for the expansion will be revealed at the StarCraft II WCS Season 3 Finals on September 13th.

Those who want to check out the announcements and trailer will have to tune in to the official StarCraft Twitch channel to catch it live on September 13th at 10:00am PDT.

The standalone expansion includes additional units and changes to multiplayer.  The campaign side of things will focus on the High Templar Artanis and the Protoss side of the StarCraft II storyline.

Those who pre-order Legacy of the Void can already check out the game in the form of a mutliplayer beta, which has been going on for quite some time.  Pre-orders also net players a set of prologue story missions that will released ahead of the launch of Legacy of the Void.
