State Of Decay has been a surprising hit for Undead Labs which many have come to enjoy on Xbox 360 and PC. Now Undead Labs has announced that they will be following up State Of Decay with another new IP to be announced next week.

Undead Labs posted a comment on Twitter that fans can expect a new IP announcement on Monday. “Having said all I can about SoD’s bright future, should I mention we’re announcing a game on Monday that has nothing to do with SoD? Hmm.” It’s interesting that they outright pointed out they have ‘said all I can’ about State Of Decay which may mean no further content can be expected for that title, nor a sequel. Subsequently fans chimed in and asked if it was also a zombie or survival type game and if it would also be exclusive to Xbox on consoles like State Of Decay was. Undead Labs followed up with another tweet that put everything to bed. “No zombies, no Microsoft. AND NO MORE HINTS.”

This can be taken as the game will be multiplatform or maybe it will be for Playstation platforms. However it is great to see that Undead Labs are branching out and doing a new genre or atmosphere and not playing it safe. I guess we will have to wait until Monday to see what they have to announce.
