Steam sales are some of the best times to be a PC gamer, with tons of games getting huge discounts. There are always the usual Summer and Winter sales, but occasionally Valve will throw in another holiday sale as well. This year will again feature a Halloween themed sale starting on October 30th and running until November 3rd. This info was grabbed by a Reddit user who caught a post from a Valve employee before it disappeared.

The announcement was meant to be seen by game developers so that they could submit their game for consideration for the sale. “Any games that fit into the general Halloween theme” were allowed to participate, meaning we really can’t be sure what titles will be featured. Last year’s sale saw games like Amnesia: The Dark Descent, Fallout: New Vegas, and The Walking Dead hit with decent discounts. Most likely we’ll see a lot of repeats, but newer titles, including sequels like The Walking Dead Season 2 could be discounted as well.

As usual with Steam sales, we’ll just have to wait for it to begin before we know exactly what will be included. They have left the door open for any game with a Halloween vibe to it, so we’ll probably see a lot of horror games, with a few oddballs thrown in. Be sure to check back on October 30th to see.
