Super Mario Maker has been generating a lot of buzz over the last couple weeks, for very good reason, and continues to grow even more. The game itself has come with a fantastic selection of tools, but it sounds like there might even be some hidden items within the code of the game.
Datamining has become a big part of gaming over the years, as there are often leftover sprites, pieces of music, and much more. This is how a lot of Super Smash Bros. leaks came out, including Ryu and Roy earlier this year, so it happens pretty often.
Naturally, someone would look at Super Mario Maker and Twitter user NWPlayer123 did just that. Within the image she just shared, it shows blank files for the Super Mario Bros. 3 Angry Sun, which was the bane of some gamers’ existance back in the day.
One has to wonder if these just got the ax, because they couldn’t figure out a way to get it to work correctly, or if it could be they started work on it and was unfinished, paving the wave for it to come as DLC.
We’ve already come up with our list of DLC we’d like to see, so hopefully this is a sign of just that in the future.
