The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening has a bunch of dungeons in it, but there’s one that’s pretty special in the hearts of fans everywhere. The Color Dungeon, an exclusive addition to the Game Boy Color release, The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening DX, will return for the Switch Remake.
This was just announced during the Nintendo Treehouse presentation following the E3 2019 Nintendo Direct where more gameplay was shown off of the upcoming remake. Tons more new features are coming to this latest remake of the fan-favorite title. This includes a new make-your-own dungeon feature and the addition of more characters from other Zelda titles, including Dampè from Ocarina of Time, among others.
However, getting The Color Dungeon should make fans especially excited. It means that this remake for Switch will likely be the definitive edition of this classic adventure. All the new additions are great, but would feel a little hollow if some older content was missing. That won’t be the case here though, so fans can rest easy and keep getting hyped for the upcoming release.
