Yes, Valve is taking their sweet old time with any news regarding the development of Left 4 Dead 3, but the popular survivors from that series will be heading to Rebellion’s Zombie Army Trilogy in a free upcoming update. All eight survivors from Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2 are slated to arrive in an upcoming patch.
As you can see in the trailer below, the mash-up is a pretty good fit. While they’re at it, Rebellion is knocking down the price of their shooter on Steam. Zombie Army Trilogy is on sale for $14.99 until August 24th. It normally goes for $44.99.
Released earlier this year, Zombie Army Trilogy includes three zombie-slaughtering campaigns. We gave Zombie Army Trilogy a 4/5 in our review, and even then we drew the comparisons to Valve’s Left 4 Dead. Adding these new characters into the mix bring it even closer to real thing, even if we’re all just waiting for Left 4 Dead 3.
