Tom Clancy's Elite Squad reveal

Ubisoft Announces Elite Squad, Tom Clancy Crossover Mobile Game

A new game based on various Tom Clancy franchises is in the works, but it’s not exactly what most people would’ve expected. It’s not the new Splinter Cell game many have been hoping for, but Sam Fisher does make an appearance, so that’s something.

During Ubisoft’s recent E3 press conference, the company announced a new mobile game called Tom Clancy’s Elite Squad, which will see a crossover of a bunch of characters from Ubisoft’s various Tom Clancy games. Some characters that have been confirmed to make appearances include:

  • Megan from The Division
  • Montagne from Rainbow Six
  • Nomad from Ghost Recon
  • Caveira from Rainbow Six
  • Sam Fisher from Splinter Cell

Additionally, those who pre-register for the game will get access to Cole D. Walker from Ghost Recon: Breakpoint. Each character will have their own specialties. For example, characters with heavy armor will be better for defending the team, while those with lighter armor will likely be better suited for handling offensive maneuvers. Teams will also be able to be upgraded by equipping various weapons and gear. The gameplay will consist of 5v5 RPG battles, which can be played against fellow players or in a single-player campaign.

Tom Clancy’s Elite Squad is “coming soon” to Android and iOS mobile devices.
