UPDATE: These have now been officially confirmed by Microsoft.

This is now the second leak for the Xbox Live Games with Gold free games for March 2016, this time from a much more reputable source which seems to confirm the previous rumors. Xbox Spain has jumped the gun and released the list of games, along with a video that you can check out below. Those games, in case you weren’t following the rumors from before, are:

Xbox One – Sherlock Holmes: Crime and Punishment and Lords of the Fallen

Xbox 360 – Borderlands and Supreme Commander 2

As usual, the games will be staggered throughout the month, with Sherlock Holmes and Borderlands up first on March 1st. The other games should become available on the 15th. Anyone with an Xbox Live Gold membership can grab the games for free, adding them to their account whether they own an Xbox 360 and Xbox One or not. Be sure to do this before the month ends though, or you’ll be out of luck.

This seems like a decent month for the service, which goes up against Sony’s PS Plus program, delivering free games to subscribers while also being a requirements for online multiplayer. Sony hasn’t made their announcement yet, so keep an eye out for that, and then our thoughts on which service was better for the month.
