Xbox Live has become a more and more important feature of the Xbox experience. Previously, if you didn’t want to play games online or stream video, you could get by with just an Xbox Live Silver account, but these days you’ll want to have Gold to get the most out of your Xbox One. Free games every month, special discounts on digital titles, and many more features come with the membership, which most will find essential if they have an Xbox. That’s why it’s always great when you can get a discount on the membership service, with a new one appearing today from CDKeys.com.

The site, which we have verified is a legitimate store, offering working codes, is running a deal where you can get a year’s worth of Xbox Live Gold for $30.99. This is a hefty discount over the usual $59.99 price, which became standard with this generation. The codes work on both Xbox 360 and Xbox One, so grab them if you are on either console, and plan to keep using it for a while.

To redeem the code once you get it, you’ll need a working phone number. The site will use this to verify that you are, in fact, a person, and not a computer gobbling up cheap codes. The site will text or call you with a number, which you enter into the site, and then retrieve your Xbox Live Gold code. Pop that into your console, or Microsoft’s site and you’re good to go.
