Microsoft has discounted both the standalone Kinect and the 500GB Xbox One Kinect bundle for a limited time. Starting now and going until an unknown future date, the Xbox One with Kinect Bundle will be available for a discounted $399. This bundle includes a 500 GB Xbox One, a Kinect sensor, and digital copies of Dance Central Spotlight, Kinect Sports Rivals and Zoo Tycoon.
But what about those that already have an Xbox One who want a Kinect? For them Microsoft is offering the standalone Kinect 2.0 unit at the new price of $99. This discount will run for a while, but is expected to end in the future.
“This is a great time to experience the greatest games lineup in Xbox history, including Kinect favorites where you can jump right in. Nearly half of Xbox One owners are using Kinect today, and across the Xbox fan base, Kinect sensor owners are regularly among those reporting the highest level of customer satisfaction. We are also continuing to invest in Kinect, and are looking forward to launching the Cortana personal assistant on Xbox One in 2016.”
Using the Kinect, Xbox One owners can not only play exclusive, motion controlled games, they can also use voice commands and hand gestures to control the console.
