Popular children’s YouTuber sings ‘The Wheels On The Bus’ with NYC politician, Fox News hosts are not happy about it

Even a children's show can offend people.

Fox News hosts on The Big Weekend Show went after New York politician Zohran Mamdani after he sang The Wheels On The Bus with popular kids’ YouTuber Ms. Rachel. The event was part of a campaign to promote free child care in New York City. The show ran a segment called “Indoctrinating The Youth” to discuss the appearance.

According to Mediaite, host Tomi Lahren said it “creeps me out when you have adults that dress like children and behave that way.” She warned parents who let their kids watch Ms. Rachel to think twice because of her “political leanings”. “If you are a parent that has your children watching this, maybe second-guess for reasons of being creepy, and her political leanings; a little problematic,” Lahren said.

Co-host Guy Benson said Ms. Rachel is banned from his house. He finds her content annoying and claims she made her “whole personality about hating the Jewish State and basically apologizing for Hamas.” Benson called this a “hard no redline” in his home and said he won’t allow his children to watch her videos.

The hosts linked Ms. Rachel to Mamdani’s political views

Fox News contributor Nicole Saphier said she doesn’t know who Ms. Rachel is but finds her annoying. She said, “I do not know who Ms. Rachel is. My kids are old enough, but she seems annoying.” She suggested that since Ms. Rachel appeared with Mamdani, who Saphier called antisemitic, she must be antisemitic too. Saphier said “misery loves company” while discussing their appearance together.

Saphier did say she understands the child care struggle. She shared that she was a single mom when she was young and knows child care is expensive and hard. She said many adults have to stop working just to pay for child care.

She added that free child care might help more parents join the workforce. However, she believes not everyone will go back to work because “a lot of people don’t like working.” Ms. Rachel has a massive following on YouTube, where parents can find videos using YouTube’s new filters.

Ms. Rachel’s real name is Rachel Griffin-Accurso. She faced criticism earlier for speaking out against the suffering of Palestinian children. The platform recently faced user complaints about YouTube’s search menu redesign changes. The Fox News segment focused on attacking both the politician and the YouTuber rather than discussing the free child care policy itself.
