A TikTok creator who was set to be the maid of honor at her best friend’s wedding says she has walked away from the wedding party altogether. The creator, @lovespicycubes1, who goes by SpicyNat, claims she spent four months planning the bride’s bachelorette party, then found the bride cheating on her fiancé in a bathroom near the end of the night.
Her video has drawn over a million views, according to Daily Dot. SpicyNat says the problems started well before the party, when the bride asked each bridesmaid to pay $400 for her dress. One bridesmaid said she couldn’t afford it and planned to buy a similar dress in a cheaper material. The maid of honor says she told her that was fine, but the bride disagreed.
The bride allegedly told that bridesmaid she was out of the wedding unless she returned the cheaper dress and bought the original. Several other bridesmaids then left as well, shrinking the group from 10 to four. However, the dress fight is not what pushed SpicyNat to post. On the night of the bachelorette, the group went clubbing, visited a casino and later lost track of the bride.
The maid of honor says the bride begged her to keep it a secret
Near the end of the night, the group took “spicy cubes,” which are sold as natural aphrodisiacs, and nobody could find the bride afterward. According to the video, SpicyNat checked the bathroom and found her with another man. The bride allegedly asked her to stay quiet, saying she only wanted to enjoy her last moment of being single before the wedding.
SpicyNat says she pushed back, describing her friend as “the furthest thing from single aside from being married.” The two argued in the bathroom before leaving together in an Uber. That night, the TikToker told her partner, who suggested she tell the groom. She has since left the wedding party too, leaving the bride with three bridesmaids and no maid of honor at all.
SpicyNat ended the clip by asking viewers whether she should tell the fiancé or skip the wedding and let him wonder why the party shrank to three. The most-liked reply noted that she had already shared the secret with plenty of people, as one viewer wrote, “You didn’t tell ‘anybody’ you just told the internet.” Another argued that anything serious enough to end a friendship is serious enough to tell the groom.
A number of viewers fixated on the dress instead, as several said $400 is only the start once shoes and hair are added. One commenter said her own future bridesmaids would pay £50 at most, while another said she bought her bridesmaids’ dresses herself. Money fights inside bridal parties have blown up before, including the case where a bridesmaid quit on the wedding day after a bride’s demands piled up.
A smaller group of commenters seemed more confused by the party itself, with several viewers from outside the U.S. asking what a spicy cube even is. However, most of the conversation kept circling back to the groom, and a clear majority of the replies told the maid of honor that he deserves to know before the wedding goes ahead.
SpicyNat has not said publicly whether she spoke to the groom, and any follow-up video would likely answer the question her viewers keep asking.
Attack of the Fanboy was unable to independently verify the bride’s side of the story, as this account originates solely from SpicyNat’s TikTok video.
