It appears as 343 Industries will be supporting Halo 5: Guardians long after its launch date of October 27th, 2015.
343 Industries’ Josh Holmes talked extensively about the studio’s plans for Halo 5: Guardians on the Teambeyond forums over the weekend.
Holmes teased that Halo 5: Guardians will have the “most substantial post-launch support plans of any Halo title“. He said some of these new plans are to be shared at E3 2015. He also said that the studio will continue to deliver new content and experiences. He and the rest of the studio really want to support the game for a very long time from the sounds of things. This is good news as bugs will be patched and updated and possibly a lot of DLC will be in the works too.
Holmes also said that there will be a variety of game types available in Halo 5: Guardians. He said there will be a “combination of new and returning game types” in the game’s launch. However he stressed not every game type will be there at launch. Their focus will be to fine tune the modes already in the game and then polish them up first.
From the sounds of things, 343 Industries is trying really hard to make Halo 5: Guardians a satisfactory experience for Xbox One gamers. Hopefully it avoids the rough launch that Halo: The Master Chief Collection had…
