Man posted eerie message about Satan targeting his wife on social media, what happened hours later is every family’s nightmare

Those social media posts were screaming red flags.

A Florida man killed his wife and shot his stepdaughter just days before Christmas after posting disturbing messages about marriage and Satan on social media. Jason Kenney, 47, from Polk County, shared dark posts about his relationship hours before the deadly shooting on December 22.

According to The Sun, Crystal Kenney, a mother of three, was shot and killed during an argument about watching an NFL game. Her 13-year-old daughter was shot twice but survived. Jason Kenney killed himself when police surrounded him at his father’s property.

The fight started when Crystal didn’t want Jason to keep watching the San Francisco 49ers game inside their home. Police say Jason had been drinking. Crystal told her 12-year-old son to run to a neighbor’s house and call 911. He heard gunshots as he ran away.

Jason’s disturbing social media activity revealed troubling signs

Hours before the shooting, Jason posted on Facebook about the 49ers game. But earlier that day, he shared a video from a pastor talking about marriage being like a war. The pastor said in the video that spiritual battles get worse after getting married.

The video’s caption said “Satan wants your wife” and warned that Satan will lead families if men don’t. Jason tagged a friend named Cheryl in the post with a heart emoji. After the shooting, she came back to the post and wrote she was heartbroken. This tragic incident follows other recent domestic violence cases that ended fatally.

Police found Crystal’s 13-year-old daughter in a bedroom with gunshot wounds to her face and shoulder. She told Sheriff Grady Judd that she begged Jason not to shoot her, but he shot her anyway. One bullet hit the bridge of her nose, went through her head, and came out the top.

Sheriff Judd called her survival a “Christmas miracle.” Police say she is getting good treatment at the hospital and should recover. The couple’s one-year-old baby was found asleep in her crib, unharmed. Crystal’s 12-year-old son was also not hurt. Similar tragic discoveries at family properties have shocked communities across the country.

After the shooting, police found a note Crystal wrote to Jason begging him to get help. The note said he was drinking and using cocaine again, and that he needed God. Jason and Crystal had been married for two years. On his way to his father’s house, Jason called his sister and told her he did “something very, very bad.” All three children are now living with Crystal’s parents.
