Tom Brady says LeBron James has the body of an NFL star, but a surprising comparison to football legends reveals how far the NBA star could really go

That's a bold theory.

The American Sports scene has always been quite competitive, but competition does not stay on the field; it also extends to the newsroom and interviews. The analysts try to compare player statistics across games to assess the level of competition in different sports. Tom Brady has a history of making comparisons across sports, and this time he has commented on LeBron James’s longevity, asking whether he could have a career this long in the NFL.

According to HITC, Tom Brady said that if he had the chance to add LeBron to his team, he would have definitely taken him. He declared that LeBron, along with Gronkowski, would have made a deadly duo for his team. Further in the conversation, Brady optimistically mentioned that LeBron, with the physique he had in the NBA over the past 23 years, would surely have helped him last more than 22-23 years in the NFL.

Brady, in the interview, answering a question about LeBron, said, “Hell yeah, I’d take him. Him and Gronk on the same team. I don’t know if he would have lasted 23 years playing LeBron. He actually could have lasted 23 years. He’s on 20-21 [23 years] now in the NBA. He’s ridiculous,” he added, “I’ve always looked up to him. How he’s handled himself on the court and off the court. He’s another guy who likes Derek Jeter; he just elevates himself above everybody else.”

LeBron’s durability and strong physique have helped him outlast others in the NBA

Brady, who mocked Logan Paul recently, seems to be making a point, saying that LeBron could last more than 20 years in the NFL, given LeBron’s injury record. James has been one of the most productive players in league history, having played over 23 seasons in the NBA. In his first 15 seasons, he missed only 79 games; over his 23 seasons, he missed 170. These numbers look better in front of Michael Jordan, who missed 152 games in fifteen seasons.

LeBron, with his injury-free career, became the highest point maker in the history of the NBA with 43180 regular season points, which is almost 5000 points more than Kareem Abbdul jabbar, who stands second in career points of regular season.

With these impressive stats, the athlete’s GOAT status is still a matter of debate, with some agreeing and some disagreeing. Coming back to Brady’s theory, LeBron’s achievements appear to back his claims. The four-time NBA champion has made a name for himself, and if he were to step into the NFL field with the same energy, he might also have been one of the most durable football players of the modern era.
