This man treated his date to a $220 meal, but his date stormed off in an Uber when he did something you do all the time

Ladies? Is that really an "ick"?

We have heard about chaos in restaurants over tipping the waiter less than they expect. However, one thing that can come across as unexpected to us is our date leaving over something that is a completely normal and reasonable act. Speaking of that, a man was left disappointed after he treated his date to a fancy meal, but the woman left almost instantly when he was boxing up her leftovers.

That’s not just a TikTok skit made for views, but a real event that happened to the user @squashwinz. As reported by Brobible, Squash shared his disappointing dating experience in a video, saying he took her on a date to a “really nice place.” The TikToker really liked the girl, making up his mind that he wouldn’t be thinking about the bill on this very day.

His calmness level later decreased when the woman ordered a whopping $220 “surf n’ turf” with a side of caviar. Well, that’s already something that would dent our wallets, but his date didn’t even finish her food, and the source says she only took a couple of bites of lobster and a bit of caviar. Squash then decided to take the leftovers home, but his date found this so unacceptable that she Ubered back home.

Looks like staying silent over the $220 dish wasn’t enough for Squash’s date

When she ordered something that was already out of the man’s budget, he tried to remain calm so nothing awkward would happen during his date. Squash was able to afford such a fancy place due to his recent success at work, which gave him sufficient financial resources. But when he saw the woman only eating a fraction of the dish she ordered, he had already made up his mind that if she didn’t finish, he’d just box the dish up and take it home.

When the server returned to grab their date’s entrees, the TikToker asked if the food could be boxed up. However, as soon as his date heard him making this request, Squash said that she glared at him like “he killed somebody.” It was just as confusing for the man as it was for the woman we previously discussed, who wore a Cartier on a date that later went awkwardly.

Squash mentioned, “She goes, ‘you’re gonna, you are gonna take these to go, you want to eat, you want to eat leftovers?’ She’s like holding back throw up as she says it.” With that, the man continued, “She’s like, ‘I would never eat leftovers. Food is not good the next day… That’s insane. If you’re gonna take that, I’m gonna take myself home.” Later, his date left the restaurant with an Uber, even though the man offered her a ride back home despite this drama.

Squash said he didn’t get a second date with the woman because he took the leftovers home. Regardless of an expensive dish, it’s not ideal to waste food, especially if you haven’t taken more than a couple of bites from it. The TikToker didn’t even ask to split the bill, and his attempt seems to be an act of responsibility. Whether or not the woman’s response was justifiable, it looks like Squash has learned a lesson for his future dates, and that is: don’t box the leftovers.
