Valve releases new prototype Steam Controller images

Valve recently went back to the drawing board with the Steam Controller.  Today they released a new image of the latest prototype for the Steam Controller, with two diamond-patterned button layouts on the face.

You’ll recall that Valve’s original prototype for the Steam Controller featured a touch screen display interface, the two button layouts have been substituted for that.

Valve will have the latest version of the Steam Controller on display in their booth at GDC.  You can find the original image of prototype Steam controller below.  Which do you prefer?  Let us know in the comments.
