Microsoft’s holiday sale of the Xbox One will end on January 3rd. That means if you were in the market for the console, now is the time to act.  After January 3rd, the price will go back to $399, and it’s unclear what types of bundles will be available after that.  The current offer from Microsoft is a pretty good one.  $349 for the console, which includes Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag and Assassin’s Creed: Unity is the core deal.  In one final blow-out holiday push for the console, Microsoft says that there are a number of retailers who are adding further incentives to the sale.
Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop and Target are offering a free $50 gift card with their deal. Â Toys ‘R Us is offering an additional controller. Â Meijer is adding a free game of your choice, while Newegg is offering both a 12-month Xbox Live Gold subscription and a $20 gift card.
Recent reports suggest that this pricing initiative has worked this holiday season;Â worldwide sales figures from VGChartz claim that Microsoft has crossed the 10 million sold mark for the Xbox One. Â While wholly unconfirmed numbers at this point, it’s not a huge stretch to assume that Microsoft had a great holiday sales season when you consider the value offered here, winning the price war with the PS4.
Feeling Lucky? Â You could win an Assassin’s Creed Xbox One Bundle in our holiday giveaway, which ends on December 31st, simply by commenting on this page.Â
