You simply have to check out this video from Realm Pictures showing Chatroulette users playing through a real life first person shooter. The team created a scenario involving zombies, demons, and the usual gaming fare and then put it all up on Chatroulette, letting players take control live by simply telling the character what to do. The result is easily the coolest thing you’ll see on the internet today, or maybe even this year.
In case you’re unfamiliar with how Chatroulette works, essentially it just takes two people and lets them chat on the internet. Using text, their microphone, and their camera, the two users connect and can do or say whatever they want. In this case Realm Pictures is streaming their experience to the player, who chats back, dictating what happens.
The whole thing plays out over nine minutes of pure awesomeness, with the action starting in a small cemetary before working its way to a huge church. That church is actually the offices of Realm Pictures, offering them endless potential for filming.
You can see the original video below, as well as a couple of behind the scenes videos put up by the team to show how they pulled off this really neat video.
