Earlier this week, there was a rumor that Microsoft might be releasing Halo 5: Guardians to Windows 10 PC. Well now a company spokesperson has denied that this is happening.
A Microsoft spokesperson left this statement to PC Gamer: “Our approach is to deliver epic Halo experiences designed for PC gamers and Windows 10, such as Halo Wars 2 and the recently announced Halo 5: Forge. There are no plans to port Halo 5: Guardians to PC.”
Many people were hoping that Microsoft would be releasing the game to PC in the near future. With E3 2016 next week, it would have been the perfect time to announce a PC port of Halo 5: Guardians.
It’s hard to tell these days if companies are telling the truth or not in order to hide big announcements. UFC President, Dana White, recently denied Brock Lesnar was fighting at UFC 200 just hours before the official announcement was made. Not to mention movie directors deny the true identities of many characters that end up being true after all.
It’s possible this Microsoft spokesperson is telling the truth, but we’ll wait until E3 2016 if any announcement is made. It will be great if Halo 5: Guardians comes to the PC, but it doesn’t look very likely at this point.
