If your plan is to remain undetected during your playthrough of Sniper Ghost Warrior 3, then silencers are going to be crucial to your success. Having them equipped will allow you to take out enemies without immediately alerting anyone nearby, keeping you out of harm’s way in the process. However, these silencers don’t last forever, and if you’re not careful then they can break on you mid-mission.
You’ll notice the “health” of your silencer by the durability bar that is displayed on the bottom right corner of the screen that says “silencer” in the middle of it. As you fire your weapons with a silencer equipped this bar will slowly deplete, resulting in you needing to keep your eye on it constantly. The idea is that you want to go into each mission with your silencers having at least half of the bar full, giving you a cushion to take out a decent amount of enemies before the silencer wears out.
Once it comes time to actually repair the silencer, you’ll need to first head back to the safe house. Once you’re there, go to the weapon cache and highlight the weapon with the silencer you want to repair. Next you want hit modify on the weapon to bring up a menu with several different aspects of the gun. One of the options will be the silencer, so select that and it will bring up the available silencers you can equip. Highlight the silencer you have equipped and you will see that it will allow you to repair the silencer for a certain price, with the price being relative to how much the silencer has been worn down. Fork over the cash and you’re all set.
Having a sturdy silencer for your sniper rifle and pistol is a recipe for success when it comes to stealth gameplay, as it ensures that you can take out as many enemies as possible without alerting others. Always make sure that you repair your silencers before taking on the next mission if you have the money, as it will make your life a lot easier.
