There’s A 45-Minute Nintendo Direct Coming This Wednesday

Nintendo has a Direct presentation coming up on Wednesday, Sept. 13 at 6 p.m. EST which will detail the future of the Switch and 3DS in the upcoming months. This one in particular, however, is sure to be a doozy as its a full 45 minutes long.

Thus far, the only title that has been confirmed to be making an appearance during the Nintendo Direct presentation is Super Mario Odyssey, which Nintendo promises will offer “new information about” during the livestream. It wouldn’t be surprising if this game gets the most screen time, honestly. Super Mario Odyssey is easily Nintendo’s biggest title for the remainder of the year and it comes out on Oct.27, leaving the company a little over a month to talk about it.

That said, 45 minutes is still a lot of time and surely there are other titles could get some screen time during that period. Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Fire Emblem Warriors and Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser’s Minions all are slated to arrive for the Switch or the 3DS by the end of the year, so it wouldn’t be unreasonable to expect announcements for any one of those three titles at any point during the presentation.

Of course, there’s the possibility of a few surprise announcements. Though these are all stretches, maybe something about Shin Megami Tensei V or Super Smash Brothers could pop up. There’s also the possibility of something related to Pokémon making an appearance — though Nintendo usually has specialized Pokémon Directs for those.

In any event, there’s little need to lose any sleep over wondering about which titles will make an appearance as the presentation is just two days away, so be sure to catch the Nintendo Direct on the company’s YouTube and Twitch channels come Wednesday.
