You wanted her? Well, you’ve got her: the Soul series’ resident ninja, Taki, is set to return in SoulCalibur 6.
Do note, however, that this revelation comes via a leaked trailer. Her inclusion seems set, but we don’t have any official word from Bandai Namco…yet.
Taki has been one of the more popular characters in the series for a variety of reasons since her introduction in Soul Edge. She also happens to be one of its most recurring characters and is only beaten out by Siegfried, Nightmare, Cervantes and Mitsurugi, due to her being replaced by her student, Natsu, in SoulCalibur 5. But, thankfully, since SoulCalibur 6 is revisiting the events of the past, we’ll be getting the original ninja this time around.
Much like before, Taki combines her dual kodachi and assortment of ninjutsu to overwhelm her opponent. This time, however, she comes with a brand-new trick — a super attack — which sees her charge energy within one of her blades and slashing her opponent multiple times, before stabbing the hapless foe one last time causing an explosion.
With this announcement the amount of characters in SoulCalibur 6 now stands at 11: Sophitia, Mitsurugi, Kilik, Xianghua, Nightmare, Groh, Ivy, Zasalamel, Geralt, Siegfried and Taki.
SoulCalibur 6Â is due out for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC in 2018.
