Griefing other players in Red Dead Online is just one of the many ways you can spend your time in the game. One of the most popular past times for these types of players is to lasso others and pull them behind horses or hogtie them. There are a number of ways that you can embarrass and humiliate other players in Red Dead Online. These are just a few ways to use your lasso for nefarious purposes.
How to Lasso other players in Red Dead Redemption 2 Online
If you’re just looking to harass other players in Red Dead Online you can do it with your lasso by roping them and pulling them off their feet, or off their horse. To equip the Lasso you will head into the weapon wheel menu by pressing the LB/L1 button and then cycling down to the Rope in the bottom left of the wheel. Once you’ve got the lasso equipped you can then throw it around other players by holding the LT/L2 button aim the rope and the holding RT/R2 to start twirling the lasso. When you want to release it and try to lasso the other player you can release RT/R2.
You’ll want to hold on to the LT/L2 button while doing this or you will let go of the player once you’ve roped them. If successful you will pull them off of their feet if they are standing on the ground. Or you can pull them off of their horse or off of a coach, carriage, or wagon.
How to Pull Players With Lasso in RDR2 Online
You’ll need to be on horseback to pull players will you’ve got them tied with the Lasso, but the process is the same. However, instead of just pulling them off of their feet you’ll want to hold on to the LT/L2 trigger to keep them roped and then just ride off while you’ve got them tied to your horse. Players can break free with some effort.
How to Hogtie Other Players With Lasso
Once you’ve got someone hooked you can then approach them and press the B/Circle button to Hogtie them. Once you get through the hogtie animation you can then choose what to do with them. You can either leave them there, cut them free, or pick them up and take them wherever you want. Players can break free with some effort though.
