In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate you can create your own character to take into battle.  This character is a Mii character that falls into three archetypes.  There’s the Brawler, the Swordfighter, and the Gunner.  To start creating your own Mii Fighter in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate you will need to head into the Games & More section and look for the section titled Mii Fighters to start creating your fighter.

Once there you’ll need to pick one of the three types of fighters.  There’s the Brawler, who is a physical combat specialist that can deliver powerful blows.  There’s the Swordfighter, who is an expert with a blade and has high attack power and reach.  And there’s the Gunner, who has a loaded arsenal that excels in long-range projectile combat.

You can then proceed to name your character, choose their outfit, color scheme, and move-set for your Mii Fighter.  Each type of character can also be customized with a unique special move set.  For neutral, left, right, up, and down specials there are three move variations for each in each character archetype.  You can mix and match these to create the perfect fighter for your play style and the character editor will allow you to test them before heading out into the game.

As for aesthetic customization, there’s plenty to choose from at the onset, but other cosmetic items to personalize your Mii can be attained by completing different challenges across the different game modes as well.

Once you’ve got a character created you will be able to choose it in game modes that allow Mii Fighters.  Mii Fighters can be used in World of Light, Smash Mode, Online against friends, in Spirit Board and in Training.
