How To Unlock Shao Kahn in Mortal Kombat 11
Coming as a pre-order bonus for Mortal Kombat 11, there are a couple different ways to access Shao Kahn in the game. The first and perhaps only way to gain access to Shao Kahn right at launch is to have pre-ordered the game.
If you pre-ordered the game in physical form, you should be given a code for the character either on the receipt or in the game itself. After entering this code, make sure to actually download the character onto your system and then you should be able to gain access to him in the game itself.
For those that instead pre-order the game digitally, you should automatically have the ability to get Shao Kahn without entering another code. However, you do have to make sure to download him alongside the game itself too or he will remain grayed out in the menus.
For those that do not pre-order the game and get the game at some point on launch day or after, sadly Shao Kahn will not be included for free. For those people, you will instead have to purchase the character for a fee. Sometimes characters like this have a delay from release and when you can actually purchase them to give those that pre-order a bit of exclusivity. However, Shao Kahn’s grayed out icon mentions purchasing the character, so it seems he should be available for purchase on release day more than likely.
If you do purchase him, you must remember to download him like described above for those that pre-order and then he should be playable in your game.
