Destiny 2 Crown of Sorrow Raid is now live and teams all over the world are struggling just to get through the insanely arduous trek. You and your team will need to be fully prepared before making your way to the depths of the Leviathan, with the biggest impact having to do with your overall level. Make no mistake, this by far the toughest and most dangerous Raid so far in the game, and here we’ll explain what level you, as well as your teammates need to be before attempting the Crown of Sorrow.
What Level you and your Team need to be Before Attempting
The Season of Opulance obviously has some changes, but the biggest one is the increase of overall levels, now all the way up to 740. That seems like its way too much, and trust us it is, but it becomes absolutely necessary as the Crown of Sorrows demands it. However, everything you have in your inventory will give you a boost for new power leveling, especially in the later expansions.
With this in mind, we can say that the lowest recommendation for even starting the Raid is at least 700. This should get you through the initial encounter with little to know effort, but its the second wave that will keep you on your toes, and more than likely wipe you out. If you have anyone on the Fireteam that is at least 720, they should be able to carry you to the final encounter. However, once you do get there, things will get that much harder than before.
Therefore, we highly recommend that at least one person in the party be at level 740 before attempting the final wave. Even better, if the whole team is at that level, then you should be able to finish it in one sitting, albeit with some trial and error due to the puzzle mechanics of the Raid. It’s important to note that if anyone in the party is below 700 they will probably not bring too much to the table especially in terms of overall damage to the Ogres. If you and the Fireteam feel confident enough to brave the bottom of the Leviathan, then head on in and best of luck to you.
