Dragon Star Varnir Guide: How To Raise Affection

As mentioned in the review, a big part of Zephy’s life as a witch in Dragon Star Varnir will be spent forging a deeper bond with his fellow witches. And as expected, this is done through a mechanic that fans of Compile Heart are well-acquainted with: Affection.

What Is Affection?

Affection is a metric that tracks exactly what you think it would — how much one of the other witches like Zephy. As it increases, not only will you be treated to much-needed scenes focusing on your character of choice, but it also unlocks extra CG and character endings.

How Does It Increase?

If you’re familiar with Mary Skelter: Nightmares, then you’ll be right at home here — just go to the room belonging to the witch whose affection you want to raise and shower them with gifts. These range from items found on the ground whilst exploring to heartfelt ones purchased from the store.

Naturally, the witches like different gifts, having responses ranging from (polite) disgust to love. And fortunately for you, I’ve listed the best among them.
