The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening remake for Nintendo Switch has a ton of moments that block the player’s progress. Since the game was originally made for the Game Boy, there couldn’t be this massive, sprawling world to adventure through. So at times the game puts up roadblocks that players have to navigate around to make it further into the story. One of the worst comes just before entering Yarna Desert, which we explained the location of here. A sleepy walrus blocks your path and wants to hear Marin sing, but she’s nowhere to be found. To help here’s our guide on where is Marin and how to get past the walrus in The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening for Switch.
Where is Marin and How to Get Past the Walrus
Marin is typically found in Mabe Village, singing her songs near the village’s center area. Of course, now that you desperately need here she’s nowhere to be found. She’s gone off somewhere and it’s up to Link to locate her. If you ask around though her location will become clear as the various townsfolk explain that she sometimes like to head down to the shore by herself. This is where you’ll find her actually, right on the beach. Head south until you hit the ocean then follow the shore and you’ll pretty quickly find Marin alone, singing her usual songs. Speak with her to bring her along with you as you attempt the next task, getting past the sleepy walrus.
Thankfully this next part is even easier as all you need to do is bring Marin back to the sleepy walrus and she’ll handle the rest. After a brief interlude where she wakes him and gets him out of your way you can then proceed into Yarna Desert and on with your journey.
And that’s all you need to know about where is Marin and how to get past the walrus in The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening for Switch.
