EA Sports is one again going to do maintenance for FIFA 21 and older FIFA games. This means you will not be able to connect to the servers for the games for a few hours.
If you live in the United States, the maintenance for FIFA 21 is happening late on September 17th and will run into the early morning for September 18th. For some countries though, the maintenance will fully take place on September 18th.
You will be happy to know that today’s maintenance should not take too long as previous periods. The maintenance will only last for 3.5 hours as of time of writing. EA Sports will update you if more time is needed.
The games being affected include FIFA 16, FIFA 17, FIFA 18, FIFA 19, FIFA 20 and FIFA 21. You can read the full announcement via the FIFA Direct Communication Twitter page below.
Maintenance announcement
“We have scheduled maintenance coming up on September 18, from 3:00 to September 18, 06:30 UTC. FUT & VOLTA FOOTBALL match creation will be disabled 30 minutes prior to the maintenance in order to avoid potential mid-match disconnects.
During this time, you may be disconnected from, or unable to access FUT and VOLTA FOOTBALL. The following Titles will be impacted: FIFA 16/17/18/19/20/21. As a result of this maintenance, we will be extending the Weekend League by 24 hours.”
FIFA 21 is out now for the PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One and Google Stadia.
