While there is no rock-solid answer to the best class in Diablo 2: Resurrected, as each class is varied and have their strengths and weaknesses, the Necromancer is the one we recommend the most. With the summoner build specifically, the Necromancer can summon an army full of the undead that can blast through all Acts of the main campaign and keep you safe and sound at the back.

Sure, some classes can tank bosses with ease on their own, but the Necromancer can have a golem do the dirty work whilst blasting necrotic spells from behind a wall of 12 skeletons.
