New World Fae Iron Locations: Where to Find Fae Iron

Recommended Videos

New World is the latest hit in the world of MMORPGs and since its release, it has had one of the highest Steam player counts daily. The mix of a unique setting and a realistic aesthetic combined with fully real-time combat that relies on timing and positioning to succeed has brought a whole new audience to the MMO world and the result has been incredibly satisfying thus far. As with all games of this ilk, New World has its fair share of secrets and rare items and one of those is Fae Iron. Here is everything you need to know about where to find Fae Iron in New World.

Where to Find Fae Iron in New World

The best locations to find Fae Iron early on in New World is in Everfall and First Light. You will be able to find more throughout your game though as locations like Windsward also have plenty of iron to mine. Iron Ore veins usually replenish in around 15 minutes or so, so you need to be smart with when you go as these areas can get very popular and dry out pretty fast, which has already lead to some fierce battles for who gets the Ore first.

How to Get Fae Iron

Fae Iron is one of the rare items that can drop from mining Iron Ore Veins. That means any time you mine from one of these locations, you will have a chance to get some Fae Iron. The chances are low though, so you can either put in a heavy time sink in order to accumulate some, or you can up your chances a little bit by increasing your Mining Luck Skill.

In order to increase this skill, there are a few options you have. You can craft new equipment as with every piece of new equipment crafted, a Mining Luck Perk is possible. You can also get a Mining Luck Boost through a crafted Pickaxe as well. If these options don’t work for you, those with a lot of Azoth can use it to increase the chance of gaining a good Mining Luck perk while crafting, and the more Azoth you spend, the better your chance of scooping high perk you’ve got.

The other route you can go here is through cooking. Certain recipes will actually give you a boosted Mining Luck stat for a certain amount of time. Here are the cooking items that will give you a limited Mining Luck boost.

  • Roasted Potatoes
  • Boiled Potatoes
  • Herb-Roasted Potatoes
  • Poultry With Roasted Potatoes
  • Salted Roasted Vegetables.

If you do plan on going the food route, the best idea would be to log on to a time where the population is lower than usual, cook your meal, and then head to an Iron Ore Vein and just mine until you get the amount of Fae Iron you desire.

New World is available now on PC.
