Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl DLC Characters Leaked Via Datamine

Recent datamining of Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl has leaked information pointing to additional characters being added to the game’s roster. Nintendo All-Star Brawl is a new fighting game featuring popular Nickelodeon characters from throughout the decades. Even if your favorite character did not make it onto the launch roster, there is a chance it may come later in form of DLC.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is developed by Ludosity and Fair Play Labs. The game pits various Nickelodeon characters against each other in a battle for victory. It features both local and online multiplayer. The game launched on the 4th of October on PC, and the 5th of October on the Nintendo Switch and on the PlayStation and Xbox consoles. Although the launch roster features 20 playable characters from 13 Nickelodeon shows, dataminers have found interesting information that might reveal what characters are going to be added next.

The leaked DLC characters for Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl were posted by RockmanBN on the game’s subreddit. From stage assets leaked, it appears that Garfield and Shredder from TMNT are going to be added at some point. RockmanBN also posted audios of voice lines for characters that are not in the game yet. These characters are Jimmy Neutron, Plankton, Mr. Krabs, Squidward, Tommy Pickles, Vlad Plasmius, Zuko, and Rocko.

A separate Reddit thread from Mr_Bell_Man contains comments from one of the developers of the game. In one of the comments, the developer complains that they knew datamining would occur, but they were told it would not be an issue. However, they also warn that the voice lines that were datamined should not be given too much weight. They were put in for the sake of “covering bases and not be-all-end-all confirmations of what can or cannot happen”.

While Garfield and Shredder seem to be all but confirmed, comments from the developer suggest that the characters with voice lines are not guaranteed to be added later. Conversely, if voice lines for a certain character do not appear in the leak, it does not mean that they will not be added later.

With its star-studded roster, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl has the potential to be a successful fighting game. However, it does face stiff competition against other popular titles in the same genre such as Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. An ever-growing roster may ensure the game maintains some longevity and is able to retain a strong userbase after launch.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
