Forza Horizon 5: How to Open Roof

Recommended Videos

There is nothing cooler than popping the top off your new McLaren after winning the big race. In Forza Horizon, you can finally open the roof of your convertible car. It has been a feature that has consistently been requested from the community, and in the new game, the wait is over. Here’s how to open the roof in Forza Horizon 5.

Forza Horizon 5 is the newest installment in the Horizon series. At launch, there will be over 500 cars with recognizable names like Toyota, Ford, Ferrari, Subaru, Nissan, Mercedes-Benz, and so many more. The setting this time is in Mexico, containing sea-side towns, muddy mountainsides, and cactus-filled deserts.

So first of all, in order to open the roof of your vehicle, you need to be in a convertible car. Once you have a convertible, all you have to do is press the left stick, or L3, and the convertible function will initiate. This will only work if the car isn’t moving. The roof will either emerge or retract from the trunk of the car in a beautifully satisfying way that makes owning a convertible definitely worth it. With the roof down, players will be able to hear the wind as they race, which is awesome.

Opening the roof is that easy, but what isn’t easy is getting a convertible. Some of the convertibles in the game are a Ferrari Portofino 2018, a McLaren 720S Spider 2019, and a Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster 2009. They can be unlocked by collecting money or winning races.

Cars can be won from races, but which beginning adventure should I choose? Or better yet, from the very beginning, which starter car should I pick? All of those questions and more are answered right here with more guides for Forza Horizon 5 on the way. Now you know the way to open the roof in Forza Horizon 5. No matter the question, we’ve got you covered… like a convertible top.

Forza Horizon 5 is available Nov. 9, 2021, on Xbox Series X and Series S, Xbox One, and PC.
