Electronic Arts has high hopes for the Apex Legends mobile title, in that it can follow in the footsteps of the success seen in mobile adaptations for Fortnite, Call of Duty, PUBG and more.  The publisher has revealed that Apex Legends mobile has been built from the ground up for mobile devices.  They highlight new legends, new maps, gameplay, modes and progression as well as live events that will hope bolster adoption of this version of the popular shooter.

Apex Legends Mobile Season 1 Launch Trailer

The Apex Legends community had been hoping that this new legend would be making their way to existing version of Apex Legends but Fade is apparently going to be mobile exclusive and will be playable alongside nine existing legends in the game.  Nicknamed the “Phasing Punisher” this character is going to have some unique abilities when they arrive on mobile.  This includes a slipstream speed burst, a flashback ability which allows the legend to travel back to a previous destination through the void, and a chamber move which sends all legends within range into the void.

Apex Legends mobile is currently gearing up for a May 17th launch and players who are interested in playing on launch day can pre-register for the game on the EA website.
