Diablo Immortal: What Are Warbands And Should You Join One?

Recommended Videos

Diablo Immortal has a lot of new features that are new to the franchise. While the main mechanics of the game is similar to previous installments there are a lot of new bells and whistles for players to mess around with. One of these new features is the Warbands system. The name may make it seem like a medieval marching band but it is far from it. Let’s go over what Warbands are and the perks of joining one in Diablo Immortal.

What Are Warbands in Diablo Immortal

To put it simply, a Warband is Diablo Immortal’s version of a guild or clan. It’s a group you can join that allows you to have a private chat to use with all other group members, you can quickly invite people in your Warband to your party. It’s a way to socialize with a bunch of people without flooding your friends’ list.

It’s a great idea to either join a Warband or create one of your own just to be able to constantly have other people to play with. Sadly, your friends may not always be online to play Co-Op with you. If you join a Warband that is set around the time you find yourself online the most, you should have a decent group of people to play with. Luckily when a Warband is created, you have to select the type of content that the Warband is focused on doing and select the times most members of the Warband should aim to be on.

You can also advertise yourself to be invited to a Warband by setting up a post about yourself. Similar to the creation of a Warband, you have to select what content you aim to do when you play and provide a little description about yourself to really sell yourself to Warband. Leaders of Warbands can look at these posts and invite you to their Warband if they like your post and think you will fit in

What Are The Perks of Warbands in Diablo Immortal

Aside from having a group of people to interact and party up with, there are other bonuses for joining a Warband. By playing in a party composed of Warband members, you get a 5% increase in item drop chance from all monsters. You also gain the ability to challenge Helliquary bosses and earn ranking rewards.

All Warband members will have access to special Warband storage separate from their own storage. However, this is not your average storage. While playing in a Warband party, all members have a chance to find a Sealed Warband Chest. This chest can be opened by the Warband Steward, any legendary or set items will be stored in your Warband’s stash. These items are great for each class and you are allowed to borrow one item from the Warband stash at a time.

It should be noted that a Warband can only have eight members at a time, so it’s not like some huge guild where you will get tossed to the wayside after you join. You will find yourself in a more close-knit community if you join a Warband, which isn’t really a bad thing.
