Recommended Videos

Destiny 2 has given us a bundle of new weapons with the Duality Dungeon and one of them is New Purpose. This gun is a Kinetic and Stasis High Impact Pulse Rifle that works extremely well in both PvP and PvE. We’ve got you covered with the New Purpose God Roll in Destiny 2.

We’ve also got God Roll guides for all the new Duality guns including Lingering Dread and Unforgiven. If you are new to Season of the Haunted, we’ve covered and continue to cover quests, guns, Triumphs, Dungeons, and more. Check it all out on our Destiny 2 guides page.

New Purpose God Roll Destiny 2 PvP

When it comes to the PvP God Roll for New Purpose, the barrel you’ll want is Arrowhead Brake and the magazine you’ll want is Ricochet Rounds. The Arrowhead Brake is a must for any Pulse Rifle but works great on New Purpose as it increases handling and greatly controls the recoil. As you may know by now as it is one of the best magazines in the game, Ricochet Rounds increases range and stability while offering more bang for your bullet with rounds that ricochet off of walls.

For the best final two perks for New Purpose, you’ll want to go with Heating Up and Desperado. Upon final blows, Heating Up will give you controlled vertical recoil as well as increased accuracy and stability. While also the God Roll pick for PvE, Desperado is great for Pulse Rifles because reloading after precision kills will increase New Purpose’s rate of fire.

New Purpose God Roll Destiny 2 PvE

Whether you use New Purpose for PvP or PvE, it is a great Pulse Rifle. For the PvE New Purpose God Roll, you’ll want to start with Arrowhead Brake and Flared Magwell. Just like for the PvP God Roll build, Arrowhead Brake will increase your handling and recoil control while Flared Magwell will increase your stability and greatly increase reload speed.

The last two perks you’ll want for your New Purpose PvE God Roll are Feeding Frenzy and Desperado. Starting with Feeding Frenzy, this perk rewards you with progressively increased reload speed per rapid kill which is great for mowing down enemies. Desperado is a must for any Pulse Rifle because after you get a precision kill and reload, you’ll get a quicker rate of fire.

Destiny 2 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Google Stadia.
