God of War: Ascension was revealed a short time ago to be arriving on the PlayStation 3 next year. The game’s director, Todd Papy, has been answering questions about the game since its reveal.

One fan got off topic recently on Twitter, and asked Papy whether or not the God of War team had plans to bring a new God of War experience to the PlayStation Vita. Papy said “Not right now… We haven’t even talked about it. I’m just focused on God of War: Ascension.”

If they haven’t even talked about it, its probably safe to assume that there won’t be a God of War title on the PS Vita for some time. The franchise has a long history of arriving on Sony handhelds, with Chains of Olympus and Ghost of Sparta both finding a home on the PSP.

I don’t think you can rule out God of War on the PS Vita at this point, it’s just way too early in the Vita’s life-cycle to tell.
