How to Unlock D.Va in Overwatch 2

One of the more popular Heroes of the Overwatch roster has to be D.Va. Everybody’s favorite fictitious ssports player and MEKA pilot is unfortunately not unlocked from the very beginning. Because of the game’s transition into free-to-play, a large chunk of the roster will be locked behind Hero challenges. So, here’s how to unlock D.Va in Overwatch 2.

How to Unlock D.Va in Overwatch 2

To unlock this solid Tank Hero, you must complete 2 games. You cannot unlock her by playing Custom games or Practice matches. They must be games where you matchmake with other people. Unlike some of the later Heroes who will take up to 100 matches to complete, she’s one of the earlier ones to get.

It is unclear if the “double progress wins” count towards unlocking her. Perhaps because it’s only two matches, it doesn’t warrant that. Nevertheless, at least you’ll get some experience along the way.

She’s a very solid Tank Hero too! Her ability kit excels well at negating projectile attacks, forcing the enemy team to hold back anything really destructive like certain Ults. Despite being a tank, D.Va can also dish out quite a lot of damage with her Fusion Cannons, rockets, and Self-Destruct.

D.Va is also hard to kill. The mech is only the first part of her health pool. When it’s destroyed, you can still play as her. Obviously, she’s most vulnerable when out of the Meka, but with the right team comp and execution, she can gain it back and be right back in the action.
