One of the first Exotic Quests in Destiny 2 that you can access immediately after beating the campaign is The Relics of the Golden Age Quest that can be started on Nessus. Once completing the campaign, you’ll notice that you have new Quest Missions on each planet that require higher power levels to complete.
To start Relics of the Golden Age, you’ll need to head to Nessus and begin the quest O Captain. This quest will have you scouring the area surrounding Fail Safe for crew members. After uncovering the crew members and their messages you’ll meet a strange Harpy. Upon completion you’ll have yet another quest to undertake called “My Captain.”
This will take you deep into the underworld of Nessus where you need to perform trials of the Vex. This includes a number of platforming sections and areas where you’ll need to hold off a Vex assault. Once you’ve completed both the O Captain and My Captain Quests on Nessus, returning to the Fail Safe NPC you’ll be given two items that are needed to progress and actually start The Relics of the Golden Age Exotic Quest.
The first item you’ll receive is the Drang Legendary Sidearm. The second is a note that you’ll need to take back to the Tower’s Cryptarch to begin the quest. Taking the note back to Rahool, you’ll get three new objectives.
Relics of the Golden Age Objectives
- Objective 1: Decrypt Legendary Engrams (5)
- Objective 2: Decrypt Exotic Engram (1)
- Objective 3: Defeat Fallen on Nessus with Drang (10)
While finding Exotic Engrams is no easy task, the more activities that you take part in the better chances you have of an Exotic dropping. If you’re reading this prior to decoding one of the engrams that drop upon completion of the game… hold on to it as this part will be a lot easier.
Upon completion, return to Rahool in the tower and he’ll send you on a mission to talk to the game’s other Cryptarch, Tyra Karn. She’ll give you a new set of objectives to accomplish that are more focused on killing enemies with Drang.

- Objective 1: Fallen Multi-Kills on Nessus with Drang (10)
- Objective 2: Fallen Major Kills on Nessus with Drang (10)
Sturm Exotic Quest Step 3
After doing this you’ll need to find a Servitor named Kendricks-7 and destroy it. It can be located in the Exodus Crash Strike location. Upon beating this Servitor, head back to the Tower to speak with Rahool and he’ll give you the Sturm Exotic Hand Cannon.
