Apex Legends Monsters Within Event: How to Earn Points and Free Rewards

Recommended Videos

Apex Legends has yet another new exciting event out for players to enjoy in this spooktober month. The Apex Legends Monsters Within event has something for everyone with a new arena’s map, modes, and even free rewards all added to the concoction mixture set to be one of gaming’s greatest Halloween events this year for fans. The new arena map ‘Encore’ is located on Seer’s home planet named Boreas and combines tropical-looking infrastructure with high-paced combat situations. This guide article will take you over everything you need to know about how to earn points within the event and moreover how to actually earn the vast amount of free rewards on offer this month.

How to Earn Points in the Apex Legends Monsters Within Event

The event itself is based on collecting points in order to obtain free rewards. Points can be earned by completing matches which will give you a varying range of points. Challenges can also be completed for extra rewards on top such as Apex packs, an event pack, and the new Loba skin. There are different track pathways for the points depending on the week of the event. From October 12th to October 19th, the first wave of the track is active and will see you earning Apex packs to shards, skins, and further cosmetic items.

Notably, the track switches two times afterwards from October 19th to October 26th, then again at October 26th to November 2nd, where players will find a higher intensity/rarity of reward items within each of those tracks and pathways.

Monsters Within Packs — Time for a Spook of a Show

Players can also get limited edition ‘Monsters Within Packs’ during the event. You can also opt to get these from the store for an exclusive ‘Event Thematic Pack’ for 400 Apex Coins which will be guaranteed to drop an item you have not already collected within the event. There will also be classic skins on offer from previous Apex Legends Halloween events, an example would be Wraith’s “Mistress of Evil” skin.

The store notably changes depending on what week of pathways the event is in so be sure to snatch all the items and rewards while you can. The ‘Monsters Within Packs’ will only be available for a limited time during the Monsters Within Event, however, they are said to always be available in the standard Apex Pack pool of items afterwards. There are 40 new items in total introduced with the latest event to grace Apex Legends.

The Shadow Royale Makes Its Return

Along with the main proceedings of the event, the ‘fan-favorite’ mode Shadow Royale makes its prominent return. Except this time, there is a twist on the formula. All Legends who are eliminated during the course of the mode will respawn in a ‘Shadow-Form’ and can continue to help their teammates still on the field. This will occur for all squad-mates until the very last team member falls in the battle of the match.

Will you be taking part in the action-packed event?

Apex Legends is available now on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC through either Origin and/or Steam.
