If you didn’t play Call of Duty World at War, you might not know this classic character, but Reznov is definitely one of the better known characters in the older Call of Duty games. As such, he’s been included as one of the unlockable icon characters in Blackout. Like the other unlockable characters in Blackout, Reznov has some pretty tough challenges to complete if you want to use him in the game. You’ll need to grab his hat, make a long range shot, and also place high in the match. With this guide we’ll show you exactly where you need to go to find Reznov’s Ushanka Hat and some tips on surviving and finding a weapon to pull off your long range shot.
Where to find the Ushanka Hat in Blackout
The Ushanka Hat can spawn in a number of different areas in Blackout. Two of those areas are very close to one another, in the Estates. The other is on the other side of the map at Asylum. Like other Blackout Challenge items it doesn’t spawn every time. So if you’re looking to find the Ushanka hat quickly your best bet is to go to the Estates. Once you’ve landed at the Estates there are a couple of places that you’re going to want to search.
As you can see in the image above (which was captured using the game replay feature) there are multiple Ushanka hats in a single match. Once you have the hat in hand, you can then start focusing on the other tasks.
Find the Ushanka, Get an Long Range Kill & Finish Top 5 to Unlock Reznov
How hard or easy getting the long distance kill is will depend on how lucky you get in finding a Sniper Rifle and how good you are at using it. You have to kill someone from at least 200 meters or roughly 650 feet away. Since there really isn’t anything to show you exactly how far away you are from someone, you’re going to have to do some guess work when picking your shots. Once you’ve completed this part of the challenge you’ll get a green check mark on the Ushanka Hat in your inventory.
The last part of this challenge is finishing in the Top 5 in Solo. If you are playing Squads you’ll need to place in Top 2. If playing Duos you’ll need to finish Top 3. Completing the challenge in Blackout Solo is probably the easiest way to unlock Reznov.
